The happiness

The happiness. What a good destination, what a good concept. An unquestionable elixir that everyone pursues as the new Grail of the XNUMXst century. Much has been written on this question: Happiness.

There are hundreds of thousands of manuals that, in my opinion, seal and complicate a state of mind much easier to achieve than they want us to believe. Although it only requires effort and personal clarity if we really want what we say we want.

Happiness, I will always defend it as a state of mind. It is not a dream place to be reached. It is very real to assure that it is not a destination but a journey. We're happy? Do we scratch moments of fullness or on the contrary, do we constantly get muddy with this sensation? How many seconds, minutes, hours, do we feel happy throughout the day?

The first thing we must do is be aware of the degree of daily happiness that we enjoy. Because are we daily? Or do we just feel full, certain times a week? Do we have moments of happiness alone? Or always when we are surrounded by people who love and appreciate us?

As we see, there are no rules of thumb to rank our happiness. There are no objective data or standard situations. Because Happiness is a State of Mind.

There are tremendously happy people in adversities that are difficult to explain; and others on the contrary, who have the bad habit of not enjoying Happiness even when it is served on a silver platter.

However, Happiness has become the irrefutable totem of the most precious panacea. And how is it possible that, an emotional state, which is the climax of moods, so often we abandon it and stop pursuing it (exercising it)?

The Human Being, with astonishing ease, usually places the responsibility for his actions on every being (divine, human, inanimate or conceptual) that is not himself. In a constant exercise of irresponsibility, self-centeredness and pride. Fate, God, fortune or luck, ... anyone who can justify me that what I live and possess daily is their "fault"; and I, poor me, am just the victim who suffers the consequences, with more morals than Alcoyano.

Is Happiness really pursued? Do we really believe that it is the consequence of our way of being and understanding the World? Are we aware that it is the result of our way of understanding, living and acting in life?

Like everything in this life, emotions are exercised, cultivated, worked,… if you like; if not, we will always have to curse Luck or Fate or live it as a punishment from God. The justification, yes that only depends on ourselves.
