COSMETICS HOLISTIC

Another of the main pillars of Emocosmetics is Holistic Cosmetics. And we understand as such, that cosmetic that does not understand borders and that uses all known remedies to contribute to the benefit of your skin; and consequently of your emotional state.

The first thing we must bear in mind is that in the world there are many and varied ways of understanding both Health and its absence.

From our Western Medicine and its pharmacopoeia, sometimes it is difficult for us to understand other views of Health. But not for this reason, they cease to be effective. For millennia, the world has been cured with remedies derived from plants or animals. In Africa and Asia, 80% of the population uses these traditional remedies, and not for this reason, its death rate is higher than the western one.

We find it difficult to understand how in North India or Nepal, the exiled Tibetans are able to heal through repetitive mantras or through the vibration of a bowl. Or how Traditional Chinese Medicine divides the body into energy channels that, through acupuncture needles, balance Body and Mind.

This, without a doubt, leads us to question that Health and illness are broader and more holistic concepts than we thought.

If we take into account the different ways of understanding medicine in the world, we discover that there are hundreds of active ingredients that are used, many surprising therapies and techniques that help the general balance of our body, and above all, the integral balance of our state of mind.

Since the 70s, the World Health Organization (WHO) has spoken of the need to integrate traditional drugs into our Western medicine; and defines complementary medicine as a broad set of practices.

These do not treat signs or symptoms, but rather external and internal causes that lead to an imbalance in the anatomical body. Within complementary medicine is phytotherapy, which is the scientific medicine that studies the use of products of plant origin, with therapeutic purposes to prevent, mitigate or cure a disease state.

There are many cultures that keep the most traditional remedies alive. Midwives, healers, scrubbers and healers are some of the people who practice ancestral Andean medicine. The remedies are accompanied by spiritual ceremonies.

According to the WHO, traditional medicine encompasses different therapies and practices that vary between countries and between regions. It has been used for thousands of years to contribute to human health, particularly as primary care providers in the community setting. According to the WHO, since the 1990s there has been a resurgence of its use in many developed and developing countries.

According to the Pan American Health Organization, this type of medicine is part of the culture of a people, there is no society that has not developed a system of medicine, on the causes of conditions, how to recognize and diagnose them, as well as the ways or procedures to alleviate, cure or prevent diseases to preserve and promote health.

With all this, is it logical to state that only Western knowledge is reasonable and true? Perhaps living with your back to other ways of understanding Health and the means to achieve it is more profitable?

Isn't it smarter to take advantage of all the Knowledge acquired over the years to make richer and healthier formulas for your skin? Do you have something to lose by venturing out to meet him?
